Austin Wasserman is the Owner & Founder of Wasserman Strength, High Level Throwing® and High Level Pitching®, with a location in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He’s a Strength Coach, Performance Coach and Author from Brooklyn, New York. He’s the Author of the High Level Throwing® and High Level Pitching® Series E-Books!
Austin received his B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning through the University of Connecticut Department of Kinesiology. He also received his Masters Degree in Human Nutrition through the University of Bridgeport.
He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and has been training athletes for the past 15 years.
In 2002, Austin was the Gatorade Player of the year in New Hampshire and went on to play Division 1 Baseball at the University of New Orleans before transferring to the University of Connecticut. After college, he played two years of professional baseball. The first year was with the Worcester Tornadoes and his second season was with the Nashua Pride of the Independent CanAm Baseball League. Austin won a Championship in 2007 with the Nashua Pride.
Austin is highly respected by coaches, parents and players for his approach and knowledge of the human body. He has worked in New York City alongside some of the top Physical Therapists and Motor Learning Specialists in the country.
Austin works with Youth, High School, College, MiLB & MLB Baseball Players as well as Softball Players of all ages. He has consulted for and currently consults for some of the top baseball and softball programs in the country such as Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arizona State, Minnesota, Duke, University of South Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss, University of Washington, UNCW, Coastal Carolina, Villanova, Texas Lutheran, Iowa and Iowa State to name a few.
His books, High Level Throwing®, are some of the most used overhand throwing books in the country! These books teach baseball and softball players how to move efficiently, maximize throwing potential, improve accuracy and create intent based on position, through constraint training drills and progressions.

Sarah O’Brien is our Lead HLT Instructor, joining our staff remotely with years of coaching experience, having spent more than eight seasons at the collegiate level as an assistant coach at Texas Lutheran University, University of Houston and the University of Montana.
Sarah coached at Texas Lutheran for 6 seasons, from 2013-18. The Bulldogs went 223-39 and advanced to five NCAA Division III national tournaments. She spent the 2019 season as a volunteer assistant at Houston and then as the assistant coach at the University of Montana. Sarah is based in Texas!
We are really excited to have Sarah on board with us as she knows the High Level Throwing® System like nobody else, implementing the overhand throwing program for the past 6 years at TLU, Houston and Montana. Sarah will help manage and oversee the throwing module for all of our remote online softball athletes and work closely with Austin to maximize our athlete’s overhand throwing development! She will also instruct on clinics around the country!
Haylie McCleney is a professional softball player and olympian from Morris, Alabama. She won the silver medal in Tokyo for Team USA!
She played four years at the University of Alabama where she was named an All-American four times and a finalist for Collegiate Player of the Year three times. Haylie has been selected to the United States National Team for the past seven years where she has won gold medals in World Championships, the Pan American Games, and the World Cup. She was also a standout in the classroom, gaining three Academic All-American honors before graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science.
Upon graduating from Alabama in 2016, Haylie completed a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida in May of 2018. She has a passion for being in the weight room and making athletes better both on and off the field. She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
We are really excited that Haylie will be working directly with our softball strength and outfield remote athletes!
Deven Boland is The Director of Player Personnel and Development for Georgia Tech University Softball! Deven will be contributing to High Level Throwing® and High Level Pitching® as a data analyst focusing on pitching, throwing and in-game defensive statistics for softball!
Previous to NIACC, Deven spent two years (2017-2018) as a Student Manager at the University of Iowa while earning his Bachelor’s Degree. Along with being a part of two college programs he also coaches club softball during the summer.
